Celebrating Economy at the Living Observance Level

Afrikan people are divinely blessed by the Creator Supreme to be a self-governing people - naturally so. So the mere concept of colonisation (or any other castrating infringement) is anathema to nature. Yet, alien forces of unnatural thrust that mean the Afrikan ill have caused much by way of interruption and disruption to Afrikan life. To become a colony is to be conquered
and subdued by others and the service the interests of others. According to a
popular online source:
“a country or area under the full or partial political control of another country and occupied by settlers from that country”.
The progressive thinker Jawanza Kunjufu highlights the characteristics of a colony:
Low per capita income
High birth rate
High infant mortality rate
Small/Weak socio-economic affluence
Low rate of capital formation and domestic savings
An economy dependant on external markets
Major export is labour
A tremendous demand for products consumed by wealthier nations
Most of the land and businesses are owned by foreigners
Indigenous entrepreneurship is limited
If these then are the characteristics of a colony and for many Afrikan souls in the world there is the overt colonisation upon indigenous soil. There are also (perhaps less acknowledged as such) are the internal colonies where the conditions may apply to those within (say) the Americas or Europe. Either way, for the Afrikan to lift themselves from the condition, self-determined effort must be brought to the fore this is a challenge globally. Yet, the colony condition described previously can rightfully be cast into the pit of redundancy through progressive transformation. As such, Afrikans could:
Establish their best possible per capita income
Encourage the limiting of births to those in formal marriage only
Be as healthy as possible
Establish best possible socio-economic affluence in genuine substance
Establish best possible person/group capital and securely invest in genuine substance
Establish self-governed market
Trade with rightful value placed on resource, product or service provision
Be value-rooted for self-betterment in their commercial consumptions
Own land, property, business and so on
Develop and grow in the sphere entrepreneurship
Ujamaa Kiburi Siku is a wonderful part of the spiritual-cultural observance calendar of the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation. It takes place in the first week of June marking the time of significant occurrence both on the continent of Afrika and in the diaspora concerning Afrikan economy. Ujamaa Kiburi Siku as with the other observances on the Afrikan cultural calendar is just that – an observance. Therefore, wherever the Afrikan is whether at home, at a community gathering or elsewhere it can be observed.
