Baraba za Olokun (Roads of Olokun) – Mkuu (Head)

The Creator Supreme has graced the Afrikan with a special knowingness of phenomena of the sacred universe. This is unique and superlative acumen. Thus, the water of the world has its own special narrative etched within the cosmos.  The mighty deity of Olokun represents the deepest depths of water flow and in knowing him, the world of deep water is realised. In livingness, there are a number of roads of Olokun.  These roads are his qualities manifest in the sacred universe and throughout Afrikan life. They are mission-compelling attributes of spirit substance as the roads of are also the roads to evermore enlightened greatness.  Through spiritual and cultural beingness the living qualities of Olokun are evoked and imbibed magnificently empowering the Afrikan soul to bring about their manifestation upon the earth. As spiritual and cultural acumen is restored and grows the roads are brought into glorious focus and open the way to ever-greater abundance.  Olokun’s name means Owner of the Ocean and each road carries his grand royal title of deep cosmic and symbolic meaning. The Kishwahili phrase for Owner of the Ocean is Mmiliki wa Bahari. The Kiswahili phrase for Roads of Olokun is Barabara za Olokun.

There are a number of roads of Olokun. Presently, these can vary from region to region around the world in the various expressions in honour of this marvellous deity of water. The following (then) is a synthesis in the spirit of oneness of shared expression adapted and summarised by this author with each road identified in the language of Kiswahili with names reflecting the living purpose of each road together with emphasis placed on what Olokun means to his people – the beautiful Afrikan souls of creation:

Olokun – Mkuu (Head)

Olokun – Mfalme (King)

Olokun – Hekima (Wisdom)

Olokun – Utajiri (Wealth)

Olokun – Afya (Health)

Olokun – Mamlaka (Authority)

The first road is Olokun –Mkuu (Head) and is summarised thus:

Olokun – Mkuu (Head). Mmiliki wa Bahari as head or chief of the ocean. Olokun is a benevolent and upright director of all that is within the ocean depths.

Olokun Mkuu represents kingly Afrikan headship. It is leadership of righteous order that effectively orchestrates that which is in his domain. Those within his domain have trust, faith and compliance in respect of his natural position and for his order. He is benevolent and just in his role and empowers those who are consistent and demonstrate their commitment and dedication to rightful duty within his realm with mission to safeguard against alien ills of disorder. For Afrikan souls this road energises order that is foundational to Afrikan life. This is important for Afrikan men who fulfil these qualities directly in whatever relevant capacity and women who hold their respective roles of responsibility and for both genders in adulthood in respect of the direct role to be in the Afrikan male child and the respective roles to be in the Afrikan female child.   From institutions of the family to wider communal organisation rightful and directed order is key.

 

The observance of Yemanja-Olokun Siku is marked by the seventh day of ninth month (so-called September) with celebrations taking place on Sunday 7th or nearest Sunday to that date. This is a wonderful time of spiritual and cultural ascendancy in honour and celebration of these mighty water deities and their deep, profound and progressive meaning to Afrikan life. This is an important time in imperative mission for global Afrikan ascendancy. Yemanja-Olokun  Siku is a part of the Afrikan Cultural calendar of the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation (URAN).
