Build Where You Stand – Preference

Remembering a Great Hero

Just imagine if the primary people of creation throughout the ages were to exercise a preference not to build for themselves. The world would have been rendered void of the greatest and most long-lasting civilisations ever to exist. This would be nothing short of a travesty to state the least. Fortunately, the great continuum of Afrikan souls holds their inherent and necessary preference to build for themselves - as driven and informed - by their norm of highly civilised and progressive living regardless of whatever geographical locale they determined themselves to be.

According to contemporary mainstream source, the word preference is defined as being:

“a greater liking for one alternative over another or others”.

What then of the inherent and necessary preference of self-determined upright construction in Afrikan life during a time of interruption and disruption? Certainly, if others that mean the Afrikan ill had their way, the only building preferences that would be ‘afforded’ for the Afrikan to have would be to exclusively serve the best interest of others and for this soul people be neglectful of themselves. If rendered susceptible for such folly to take hold, the Afrikan would not then build the life constructs necessary for Afrikan security and flourishing. This is an ‘alternative’ with dire consequences as the world’s primary people could be left in a state of perpetual lowliness subject to destructive whims and ill-vices others with ill-intent.

So, despite the challenges of any interrupted state, it remains vital for Afrikan souls to restore and exercise their inherent constructive excellence in service of themselves. Here, one of the fundamental activities in doing this is to reclaim a level of self-knowingness and civilised living. The Afrikan must educate themselves and apply themselves accordingly for upright self-determined constructions to be realised. As it was throughout the annals of yesteryear, it matters not where the Afrikan stands for appropriate learning and construction to take place. From whatever station, level or status Afrikan souls surely have a duty and responsibility to themselves to construct their necessities of civilised living.

The great hero Omowale Malcolm X wonderfully highlights the significance of knowing when he eloquently states it is:

“important for us to be reestablished and connected to our roots”.

Imagine if the roots of a tree were to somehow unnaturally take on a ‘preference’ not to nourish and service the trunk, branches, leaves and fruit of the whole tree. This would be wholly nonsensical and oppositional to natural function, growth and flourishing with consequences of a non-existent tree.

The Afrikan must know who and what they are, wherever they are and build accordingly. Indeed, it would be a great boon to their lives if their preferences across the landscape of their lives were energisers to their upright ascension. This pioneering people of culture and civilisation can build again build superlative civilisation. This time secured into eternity.
