Celebrating the Great Marcus Garvey and Garvey Movement

The supreme visionary Marcus Garvey dedicated is entire being to the
betterment of the entire Afrikan world community. Far from being the
articulation of any shallow rhetoric, Garvey uttered profound words of wisdom of
mission-compelling substance to lift his people as whole. As a powerfully
important part of his eternally victorious mission this great hero empowered
Afrikan man to bring their natural magnificence to the fore. He eloquently,
challenged Afrikan men to lift themselves to mission compelling duty thus:
“We have been idling here ever since [the Creator] sent us here. I want to adopt a fair attitude toward the situation. I am blaming no man for the condition but myself. I got into lots of trouble since I have been in the Organisation, but I blame myself and when I suffer, the sensible man says he brought it upon himself, and that is my position…I have no one to thank but myself and that is my responsibility. Whatever you do you are responsible for it. Do not go crying and wiping your eyes. It isn’t going to help you my friends. The law is there, the law of [the Creator] and the law of man, and [the Creator] doesn’t say we are to abolish the law because you come shedding tears every time. You stand and fall by you own acts, so do not blame anybody for your racial condition. Why go to the white man weeping? Why, if you cannot go to [Creator] weeping how can you go to man weeping? What kind of place you think Heaven would be if everybody who went there started to cry? Why, nobody would want you there. Heaven is a place of joy and happiness, of eternal bliss, where the Master of all joy and happiness resides. [The Creator] wants no crying there. If you are to cry you go where? You go to Hell! [Afrikans] stop crying and be men and save yourselves. Crying is not going to help, except into Hell. It is no use teaching you envy and covetousness, and as far as my country is concerned, it prevails here, hence our universal condition”.
It is by no accident or happenstance that Marcus Garvey led into fruition the greatest most impactful organized body of Afrikan world souls ever to be made manifest. This is what the divine strength and power of Afrikan manhood can do. Afrikan men must surely cast aside and purge from their being the contaminants of alien ills and lift themselves according to their true genius filled, excellent and mighty nature.
Every Afrikan man regardless of social standing, level of wealth or whatever can look into his own mirror of self and bring to the fore the best of himself. This first man of human creation can shine his light of brilliance in the imperative thrust for global Afrikan ascension, applying himself at whatever relevant or appropriate level.
Garvey forthright challenged Afrikan men to:
“Be a man by doing the deeds of men”
