Garvey’s Word on Organising for Nation

“Once more the urge has come to us to fight the great battle of life under the banner of the mighty [organisation of the race], with the colours of the Red, Black and Green. Our confused and disorganised world is now presenting another opportunity for us to organise ourselves with the supreme object of racial establishment. Racial establishment, I say, because the time is now for us to determine what we are to be in the affairs of struggling humanity. We must be a nation, we must be an imperial whole, we must be a people standing together strong and firm, conscious of our duty and our responsibility to ourselves and to our [Creator Supreme}”.  

The observance of Musa Msimu takes place during the month of so-called August and is a wonderful time to celebrate the mighty example of Marcus Garvey and the Movement that he created led in order for future generations of Afrikans to have their guide for complete freedom and nationhood.
