Garvey’s word on the Flag of the Nation

From the great composition of the Creator Supreme, colours abound the sacred universe as radiating light reflects upon surface to create the huge panorama of natural beauty experienced by the spirit ones of Creation. Throughout the ages Afrikans have harnessed and expressed the powerful energies of colours that abound. The power of colour symbolism has been a wonderful part of cultural and spiritual fabric since the beginning. From the Black deep and profound melanated substance of being, to the Red of vitality and blood flow energising the body and the Green of eternal prosperity and abundance – colours illustrate the best the Afrikan life as Afrikan continually lift themselves forever upwardly. The continuum of colour symbolism has been a powerful and dynamic feature of Afrikan life to the present, lifting souls with the message of inspiration, self-determination and elevation. The colours of Red, Black and Green are magnificently expressed in the flag of the global Afrikan nation. Truly a mighty symbol and the representation of a whole people and mission deified into eternity. The Kiswahili words for the flag of the global Afrikan nation is Bendera Ya Taifa.

The supreme visionary Marcus Garvey articulated the following words in relation to the Flag of the Nation:

“Show me the race or the nation without a flag and I will show you a race of people without any pride. Aye! In song and mimicry they have said, ‘Every race has a flag but the c**n’…But that was said of us four years ago. They can’t say that now”.

Liberty and nationhood is a must and the magnificence of the Red, Black and Green flag of the nation is a wonderful symbol of mission. This mighty flag is tapestry that speaks to the Afrikan soul in a way that no words can offer. It reflects the profound mission and vision of Race First, Self-Reliance and Nationhood. It gives expression to the call to and integrity-filled maintenance of oneness in One Creator, One Aim and One Destiny. This mighty banner can be held aloft with the deepest levels of pride and dignity of purpose in the marvellous divine Afrikan people of the world that it represents. The colours of Red, Black and Green are flying in the hearts, homes and gatherings of the exceptional spirit ones of Creation. The Bendera Ya Taifa is indeed the flag of the global Afrikan nation a powerful colouration of expressed elevation.
