Celebrating the Wonderful Observance of Kwanzaa

Afrikan people have a unique experience and journeying in this world. This is the primary people of creation and the people that brought forth the greatest most long-lived civilisations that the world has ever come to know. There is something exceedingly special about this people and their own way of life. They hold a richly endowed uniqueness – a uniqueness of superlative qualities. From age to age just as it is empowering to celebrate the all-year-round cultivation of vegetational harvesting that sustains Afrikan life – so too is it empowering to celebrate the self-determined and rooted cultivation and expression of Afrikan life itself.

In recent history through the grand efforts of the Us Organisation with the process of creative restoration, celebration of the Afrikan family and community has been beautifully brought to the fore with the wonderful observance of Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa is readily accessible to Afrikan souls throughout the world regardless of geographical location, local language, political boundary and so on. Kwanzaa is a tremendous vehicle for the reclamation and living of Afrikan culture.

This powerful and dynamic observance has at its core seven principles that are called the Nguzo Saba. These principles provide Afrikan souls of the world a basic set of cultural values that can be lived for Afrikan life ascension throughout the annual cycle year-on-year. Of the seven principles the foundational principle is considered to be Umoja (Unity) and is summarised thus:

To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and race.

Harmonising with the restoration of Afrikan cultural fabric this cultural fabric is the explicit restoration and assertion of Afrikan spirituality with ASBWOK (Afrikan Spirituality By Way of Kwanzaa) from this arena. ASBWOK provides a spiritual formulation at a level that can be shared by Afrikan souls throughout the globe regardless of geographical location, local language, political boundary and so on. It does not negate local Afrikan traditions but rather harmonises whilst operating at a level that can emphasise the spiritual oneness that Afrikan souls of the world naturally hold. Further, it rightfully interconnects and energises cultural living as established through the wonderful vehicle of Kwanzaa. Thereby, wholesome and harmonising oneness can be expressed at the rooted core of Afrikan life with spiritual-cultural fabric. Here, spirituality and culture are rightfully at one.

ASBWOK can be engaged with whether as an already practicing adherent to a local Afrikan tradition, or as an exclusive vehicle for Afrikan spiritual engagement. With all of the interruptions and disruptions to Afrikan life over the Maafa of recent centuries, dynamic accessibility is important provision. Also, important is the promotion of spiritual and cultural oneness whereby spiritual living is not contradictory nor in conflict with cultural living at the rooted levels of life.

As Kwanzaa as a cultural observance is celebrated, directed spiritual energising can be brought to the fore with ASBWOK which involves pragmatic spiritual celebration and  can also be the pragmatic spirit thrust to energise the glory in reaping the rewards of the harvest.  To illustrate the application of this two-fold approach ASBWOK formulation can be applied in celebrating all year-round spiritual growth thus:

Celebrating the bountiful harvest of all-year-round spiritual cultivation of the Afrikan person self.

Celebrating the bountiful harvest of all-year-round spiritual cultivation of the harmonious and complementary Afrikan male-female union.

Celebrating the bountiful harvest of all-year-round spiritual cultivation of the Afrikan family.

Celebrating the bountiful harvest of all-year-round spiritual cultivation of the Afrikan community.

Celebrating the bountiful harvest of all-year-round spiritual cultivation of the Afrikan nation.

Celebrating the bountiful harvest of all-year-round spiritual cultivation of the Afrikan world community.

ASBWOK formulation can also then be applied to energise outward expression guided by cultural fabric in harmony:

Spiritually energising the celebratory expression for the harvested yield in respect of the Afrikan person self.

Spiritually energising the celebratory expression  for the harvested yield in respect of the harmonious and complementary Afrikan male-female union.

Spiritually energising the celebratory expression for the harvested yield in respect of the Afrikan family.

Spiritually energising the celebratory expression  for the harvested yield in respect of the Afrikan community.

Spiritually energising the celebratory expression for the harvested yield in respect of the Afrikan nation.

Spiritually energising the celebratory expression for the harvested yield in respect of the Afrikan world community.
