Celebration of First Fruits

The following is an account taken from the important text: From Ajar to Omowale – The Spiritual & Garveyite Journey of Malcolm X. It includes quotations from those of the Afrikan wisdom tradition:
“Omowale Malcolm X remained steadfast in his righteous mission to lead his people to liberty. Even under the most severe and immense pressures from the forces of white inadequacy who had viciously coerced and manipulated Afrikan people to ‘step outside of themselves’ and join them in their evil efforts to destroy the great hero and his mission – Omowale Malcolm X remained true to the mission to free his people in the physical and in spirit.
‘Nothing which Malcolm X did or said, either prior to, or after his departure from the Nation of Islam, can justify the belief that he was about to turn his back on his suffering people, relinquish his revolutionary mission and join the ranks of the enemy.’
Omowale (Malcolm) was clear that the [enemy] media was able to manipulate societies to love whom they will and hate whom they will. Those media objectives have remained as strong themes in the present even in relation to great Afrikan heroes suh as Omowale Malcolm X himself.
‘It is here that the lessons of Malcolm X on the centrality of image-making in maintaining and justifying the established order are so relevant. For Malcolm says that one of the great powers of the rulers of this country is their ‘science of image-making’ in which they can turn a victim into a criminal and a criminal into a victim, and of course, turn an oppressor into a saint or a saviour.’
For the sake of emphasis and clarity, the words of the vice-president of Omowale’s (Malcolm’s) Organisation of Afro-American Unity are reiterated here in part…
‘The easiest way to describe Malcolm is as a Pan-Afrikanist and a Natiionalist. Nationalism means that you own and control economics, politics and culture in the communities you livein. Pan-Afrikanism means that you must have a relationship around economics, politics and culture with Afrikans everywhere else in the world – on the continent, in the Caribbean, in Europe, in latin America, in Asia. You must have a working relationship built around economics, politics and culture. So those are the best ways to describe what he was talking about and he tried to implement.’”

Unfortunately, the wicked alien forces of anti-Afrikan agency continue to hurl mis-information, propaganda steeped in falsehoods from the hellish institutions grotesquely peddled as universal vehicles of media expression. From subservient to inhuman; from unworthy to criminal the enemy paints vile imagery to validate imposition of a fabricated less-than status of Afrikan souls. Even in name of entertainment Afrikan souls can find themselves force-fed regular diet of the most foul degradation.
The obvious answer is for Afrikan souls to create their own content and rightly so. However, the alien enemy is wickedly aware of this and so denies the Afrikan of his or her spiritual and cultural way, coerces the Afrikan souls outside of themselves and then sits back to see the delivery of the same destructive content by proxy.
It is therefore vital that the Afrikan restores their spiritual and cultural fibre throughout the world. Economics and the substance of self-governance are embedded within the Afrikan way. Wonderfully, throughout the annual cycles multitudes upon multitudes of Afrikan souls lifting themselves in fortitude to realise spirit ascension in the best ways possible. The Nguzo Saba with values such as: Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) – To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves and speak for ourselves. Instead of being defined, named, created for and spoken for by others; and Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) – To build our own stores shops and other businesses and to profit from them together; are part of all-year-round living fortitude.
During the wonderful observance of Kwanzaa the grand yield of achievements that have been brought into fruition from all-year-round self-determined activity is great to be celebrate. This is wonderful Afrikan joy in reflecting and also projecting to energise greater ascensions for the annual cycle to come.
