Celebrating the Wonderful Observance of Kwanzaa

Afrikan people in glorious continuation
of their own way of life have established a wonderful celebratory observance
period known as Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa begins on the 26th of December and concludes
on the 1st of January. It is a deeply meaningful time of year that
is rooted in the harvest traditions determined by Afrikan souls from the
earliest of times. Steeped in Afrikan brilliancy, Kwanzaa has a powerful set of
deeply meaningful symbols and a set of values at its core known as the Nguzo
Saba (Seven Principles). To bring Kwanzaa into fruition is magnificent effort
in and of itself. Yet also and prolifically, Kwanzaa is both relevant and readily
accessible to Afrikan souls throughout the Afrikan world community. So
whether the Afrikan is on the great continent of Afrika itself, in the islands
of the so-called Caribbean, in the Americas, in Europe or elsewhere restoration
and elevation of their own culture is beautifully and victoriously at hand.
Despite the many challenges and alien hostilities to be faced by Afrikan souls with the strength, fortitude and dignity gifted by the Creator Supreme Afrikan souls can, and surely ought to, determine their way. With Kwanzaa, Afrikan people of the world have their own celebratory vehicle of vital cultural restoration and elevation.
The Nguzo Saba (Seven Principles) at the core of the Kwanzaa observance are as follows:
Umoja (Unity)
Kugichagulia (Self-Determination)
Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility)
Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics)
Nia (Purpose)
Kuumba (Creativity)
Imani (Faith)
Each day of the celebration carries the focal theme of its relevant principle to marvellously enrich the season throughout.
Kwanzaa also has a number of wonderful greetings using the rhythmic and vibrant language of Kiswahili. One such greeting is Kwanzaa Yenu Iwe Na Heri (May your Kwanzaa be with happiness).
