Restore and Truly Live

Honouring of the Creator Supreme and the Great Ancestors is essential fabric for the marvellous first and spirit people of Creation. Empowering the Afrikan self through the divine deities and the unending legion of great ones that dedicate themselves in exceptional service of the betterment of Afrikan souls beyond their outstanding commitment of the same during their physical journey, is spiritual acumen profound. During the wonderful observance of Malkia wa Uhuru (as with other special times throughout the annual cycle) it is therefore important to energise the Afrikan self in ritual and ceremony.  Shrines, space and the self can be adorned with the symbology relating to the magnificent deity of the period Oya and the symbols of the great warrior queens of liberty who are the focus of the season’s celebration. Libation, incantation, words of empowering recollection and forward projection (amongst much else) are vehicles of grand uplift as ever greater spiritual and cultural enlivenment of Afrikan ascendancy is realised year on year. The Kiswahili word for ceremony is Sherehe.

Devastatingly, the foreign criminal predators have barbarically preyed upon Afrikan women in the most foul and disgusting ways with diabolical onslaught during the Maafa of recent centuries. The horror-filled litany of murders, beatings, rape, mutilations, terror and abuse is vile beyond words. The parasitic and genocidal alien beasts of hell attempted to destroy the totality of Afrikan life with vicious attacks upon the divine soul woman.  Brutally, forcing Afrikan women to become objects of disuse and abuse, wickedly puppeteering them away from Afrikan liberty and nationhood and to attack Afrikan men. The divinity and life crushing strategies of the foreign enemy hostiles were heinously deployed to effect perpetual pirate domination. If not the savage exploitation through overlord-ship on the so-called plantation, colony or whatever, the foreign hostiles sought to wield the vices of outright slaughter.  The terror persists.

Magnificently and victoriously, from the Afrikan home to the Afrikan community space, spiritual cultural practice in celebration and honour of the Afrikan warrior queens of liberty through ceremony is being restored to Afrikan life. Ceremony is an important feature during the Malkia wa Uhuru observance. Harmoniously, with the ever increasing knowingness  of and sharing in the spirit of these great women, the Afrikan continuum is evermore laden with the glory of victorious substance. As consistent and continual cycles of spiritual practice that are brought to be during this and other important times in the spirit journeying of life, Afrikan ascendancy is energised into ever expanding reality.

Malkia wa Uhuru is a wonderful part of life within the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation, where ingathering takes place and with the accompaniment of candlepower the following words from a chant composed by this author can be heard in praise of the magnificent Afrikan queens of liberty and their eternal mission to uplift and safeguard Afrikan souls throughout the world in liberty and nationhood:

Malkia wa Uhuru
Shine your light on our people
Malkia wa Uhuru
Shine your light on our people

As the time of Malkia wa Uhuru draws to a close in calendar terms the light of Afrikan royal women continues to illuminate life of the soul people ever onward and ever upwardly. Learning from the grand experience of majestic monarchs for freedom continues in the approach and during the forthcoming observance of Afrikan Historia Msimu (Afrikan History Season). It is indeed a mighty blessing for this marvellous people to reclaim, restore and truly live with the profound empowerment from each Sherehe.

Malkia Wa Uhuru is an observance period lasting seven days immediately following the celebration of Yemanja SIku. It is a period in which the victorious spirit of Afrikan people is enlivened and energised with the grand inheritance of Afrikan warrior queendom as global Afrikan ascendancy marches on into eternity. This wonderful observance is a part of the cultural calendar of the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation (URAN).
