Divinity in the Contemporary World
To conceive of natural greatness is an essential step towards its realisation throughout the various levels of the Afrikan self from person to nation and beyond. Throughout the ages Afrikan souls envisioned superlative achievements in order to bring such excellence into being. Hence, the world’s greatest and most enduring civilisations came to be.
The Maafa of recent centuries has shown that others that mean the Afrikan ill will deploy a barrage of destructive tactics from deceit laden politics to miseducation (or worse) in order to castrate natural Afrikan vision and progress. Despite this, it is only Afrikan souls themselves who can restore their own self-determined visionary capabilities and work in earnest to bring their vision into reality. It is therefore of the utmost importance that Afrikan souls do not succumb to weaknesses intended by others or perpetuate weaknesses amongst the self.
The superlative visionary Marcus Garvey emphatically urged Afrikan souls not to succumb. Rather, this great hero challenged Afrikan souls to fulfil their potential and recover their rightful place of centrality in the world:
“We must not succumb to our weakness, that of the past or of the present; we must recover ourselves, and so the appeal is made to the [Afrikans] of America, South and Central, of Canada and of the West Indies, of Afrika and elsewhere, to make the determined effort to regain that noble consciousness that our ancient fathers once possessed – that consciousness that led toward the ideal of Empire, that brought out of them the created civilisation which other men inherited. Bow down no longer to the hostile environment of an alien world, but enthrone your own thoughts. Lift then high toward everything that is good, everything that is lofty, everything that is desired by men of the twentieth century. Your scope is the universe, you field of operation is earth. Bring to your command the forces of the Universe and conquer the world of which you were made lord. When this ideal is firmly fixed in your mind, no [Afrikan] will go around the world hat in hand, beggar and suppliant, but every unit of the race will stand up like a real man and play his part as God and Nature intended. Get the vision, the vision true, the vision of man’s sovereignty over life, the vision of the man… whose function is mastery over all within Nature’s scope”.
Afrikan souls surely must purge themselves of alien ills and not succumb. Afrikan souls must surely not be misused to work against their own best interests. Afrikan souls must surely not succumb. Afrikan souls must surely not be wilfully destructive vision or progress for Afrikan betterment. Afrikan souls must surely not succumb. Afrikan souls must surely not wilfully mask wrong-doing in the guise of progress. Afrikan souls must surely not succumb. Afrikan souls must surely not allow themselves to be consumed with destructive urges of jealousy and contempt that thwart Afrikan progress. Afrikan souls must surely move on from genuinely unworkable relations. Afrikan souls must surely not succumb to the barrage of alien traps of ill.
Rather, the Afrikan surely ought to recover knowingness of self. The Afrikan surely ought to restore spiritual and cultural fabric of self-determined life. The Afrikan surely ought to genuinely build for the benefit of themselves. The Afrikan surely ought to be engaged in honesty, with integrity and in rightful order the mission for Afrikan ascension.
The inspiration and wisdom guidance of the great Marcus Garvey is surely mission-compelling for Afrikans worldwide. Here, the imperative thrust of independent learning can be energised throughout the levels of the self:
The person self (for Afrikan masculine manhood) or (for Afrikan feminine womanhood)
The harmonious and complementary Afrikan male-female union
The Afrikan family
The Afrikan community
The Afrikan nation
The Afrikan world community
