Divinity in the Contemporary World

Unity of self has been with the Afrikan
from the beginning. Cosmologically, the Afrikan held living knowingness of self
in oneness of creation and with the sacred universe at large. This primary people
held union throughout the levels of the self from the person to nation and so
on. The multiple parts of the soul functioned in unity to make the individual Afrikan
person self whole. The wholesome Afrikan masculine man in union with the wholesome
Afrikan feminine woman made the harmonious and complementary Afrikan male-female
union whole. Each level of the self has its functional component parts to render
itself whole and functional both within and for the greater good. Hence, the
world’s greatest and most enduring civilisations became an Afrikan
self-determined inevitability.
With the interruptions and disruptions such as that of the Maafa of recent centuries, others that mean the Afrikan ill have sought to wipe out functional self-determined unity amongst Afrikan souls. Yet, it is only Afrikan souls themselves can establish and maintain their own functional progressive union-ship.
The supreme visionary Marcus Garvey observed the following of Afrikan souls in his magnificent organising efforts:
“While a very small and limited number of the hundreds of millions caught the vision and realised what the object was, the great majority of the race everywhere continued in lingering darkness”.
This great hero concluded that:
“There is much work to be done in the economic-industrial field, but the UNIA shall concern itself from now on with seeing to the proper education of each and every one of its members, so that with the proper viewpoints and the proper understanding each unit of the race may be able to take care of himself wherever he happens to be. To make this possible it is necessary for every member of the organisation and every [Afrikan] who desires to be a part of the new movement to get in immediate touch with the Parent Body at its headquarters. There must be a uniformity of action, there must be completeness of understanding, there must be universal unity”.
Unity is clearly not merely and aesthetic word. It is a word of rooted substance that includes its functional application. Here, the restoration of self-knowingness through learning is key. Self-determined organisation is also key. And what Marcus Garvey calls, ‘Viewpoints’ can be rooted in the vital restoration of spiritual-cultural fabric. Unity therefore, is established and restored through self-determined effort it is far from being just a symbolic ‘feel good’ show of proximity.
In the imperative thrust to restore the necessary foundations of life in order that unity can indeed thrive, it is surely important that the Afrikan is genuine and consistent in such effort. Certainly, it is not thrust for unity to create havoc, attempt to infiltrate, thwart, deny or destroy organs established for the genuine thrust of Afrikan ascension. Nor is it thrust for unity to take a chameleon-type approach ‘flip-flopping’ this way or that to suit an alien (or alien-inspired) agenda of ill. It may also be necessary for functional unity with certain spheres to be realised by distancing oneself from relations that breed chaos, confusion, are abrasive or anathema to rightful order, are counter to Afrikan ascension and the greater good.
Of course, being a wholesome part of an organ such as that of the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation is also key. Again, ‘flip-flopping’ and inconsistency in the attempt to generate destructive competition between groups, to create distrust or being just outright disruptive is not conducive to unity. Be a part of an organ and remaining true to that organ will allow unity to grow across the board.
The inspiration and wisdom guidance of the great Marcus Garvey is surely mission-compelling for Afrikans worldwide. Here, the imperative thrust of independent learning can be energised throughout the levels of the self:
The person self (for Afrikan masculine manhood) or (for Afrikan feminine womanhood)
The harmonious and complementary Afrikan male-female union
The Afrikan family
The Afrikan community
The Afrikan nation
The Afrikan world community
