This is a reiteration of an article first published on the 13th January 2022

Remembering for Afrikan souls is not a phenomenon restricted to any singular period of time. Afrikans of the past remembered the great efforts for Afrikan ascension of those that came before them so as to imbibe the wisdom and energy that would elevate Afrikan life in their self-determined efforts for self-betterment. Likewise, Afrikan souls in the now remember also Afrikan greatness etched into their world experience in order to inform and enrich their lives in mission of self-determined elevation. Further, Afrikans throughout the tomorrows to come will surely also then in turn remember the great efforts made by those in the now and otherwise to empower their lives in continuance of self-determined ascent.

Although through interruption and disruption of the Maafa of recent centuries others that mean the Afrikan ill have set upon Afrikan life in persistently destructive ways, the importance of remembering is only amplified (not diminished).

The importance of remembering in the now is of vital responsibility for Afrikan souls themselves to inform the living knowingness of being. Remembering in the now also provides the example in the act of remembering and the victorious results of its life application. Here, another way of stating ‘in the now’ is ‘to be present’. According to a popular mainstream platform the word present is defined as something:

“in a particular place”.

Or:

 “existing or occurring now”.

In this, Afrikan people surely ought to take responsibility for restoration of their natural place of functional living self-knowingness that is empowered through remembering themselves. The present Afrikan, that is generating experience to empower through remembrance is expressive of self-determination.

The great hero Omowale Malcolm X is remembered because of his self-determined thrust for the uplift, betterment and victory of Afrikan people throughout the Afrikan world. This exceptional hero urged Afrikans to remember themselves. He stated:

“Of all of our studies history is best qualified to reward our research”.
