Self-knowingness for the Afrikan is far beyond simply being cognitively aware of self-existence. The Afrikan knowingness of self is a lived phenomena that is abundant with spirit. Just as the Afrikan is melanin dominant in physical beingness, so is the Afrikan spirit dominant in meta-physical beingness. As a host of observers attest, ‘the Afrikan is notoriously religious’. In precise terms it is the spirituality of the Afrikan of which the observers speak. Afrikan souls are both the primary and spirit people of the world. As such, spirit beingness is major functional substance for Afrikan life’s fullest expression. Spirt then, is the fundamental raw substance and spirituality is the process of cultivating, developing and directing the use of spirit for maximal upright and ordered Afrikan ascension.

This is why spirituality, it key for the Afrikan (being dominant of spirit). The raw material exists in abundance and requires purposeful channelling to maximise Afrikan life’s endeavours in whatever sphere, task or specialism. To put it in contrasting terms, if the Afrikan does not have a vehicle for the directing and channelling their spirit in an upright and ordered way then self-determined optimality is denied.    

Worst yet, for the Afrikan to deny or neglect spirit and spirit functioning is to be steeped in unknowingness of self. This is so, because spirit is core, fundamental and of major abundance for the spirit people of the world. And to disregard it would mean that any resultant account of Afrikan beingness could only be acutely un-whole and thus grossly inaccurate.

Spirit exists for purpose, it is not an excuse to escape reality or to absolve oneself of duty and responsibility. Rather, it is a source of exceptional Afrikan empowerment that must necessarily be directed to lift Afrikan souls in their self-determined efforts for imperative ascension. Spirit is vital fuel for pragmatic life engagement and can be channelled for the establishment and fullest flourishing of:

The person self (for Afrikan masculine manhood) or (for Afrikan feminine womanhood)

The harmonious and complementary Afrikan male-female union

The Afrikan family

The Afrikan community

The Afrikan nation

The  Afrikan world community

These are the areas of focus expressed in the spiritual formulation of ASBWOK (Afrikan Spirituality By Way Of Kwanzaa). These are areas of life functioning that apply to Afrikan souls throughout the world that necessarily must be empowered by the Afrikan spirit to bring about fullest self-determined results.

Despite the efforts of others that mean the Afrikan ill (steeped in their alien norm  of spirit recessive existence) to derail the Afrikan from the natural spirit and whole self-knowingness. It is for the Afrikan to reclaim, restore and safeguard the knowingness of themselves. The spirit-of-self throughout its various levels must thrive with spirit directed and channelled to build maximally. In this, the Afrikan must surely avoid spirit neglect or spirit denial and embrace their own spiritual modality of ascension.
