This is a reiteration of an article first published on 15th October 2021

The primary people of creation pioneered the thrust of humanity’s wisdom. It is this Afrikan people, that by the thrust of the Creator Supreme were the usherers of wisdom to be on the human plain. Wisdom however does not simply exist as some static intellectual idea. It is a powerful and inseparable part of the Afrikan experience. A cursory definition of wisdom as articulated on popular mainstream platform is thus:

‘the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise’

The operative words are experience, knowledge and judgement. Wisdom is a thrust of practical engagement, it necessarily has application in life. It is an essential component of Afrikan living knowingness and is purposefully engaged throughout the history continuum – past, present and future. The Afrikan deities of wisdom such as Djehuti and Orunmila empower Afrikan souls to determine and direct their own experience, to acquire and rightfully apply knowledge, and employ good judgement throughout life’s endeavours. This is simple to conceive yet can be challenging to implement for the Maafa of recent centuries have caused much by way of interruption and disruption.

However, it is for the Afrikan souls of the world to reclaim, restore and safeguard their wisdom functioning. One of the calendar vehicles for such an endeavour is the observance of Afrikan Historia Msimu (Afrikan History Season). It is a time to celebrate Afrikan people’s self-determined experience and thus empower the thrust of wisdom as learning and associated effort takes place throughout the month. In this, the celebratory period is not simply to ‘tickle intellectual fancy’ in some detached way for a few weeks and then abandon life’s necessary wisdom flow that is naturally rooted to the Afikan history continuum. Rather, it is a period of focus attention on the importance of Afrikan history and empower the thrust of all-year-round engagement through wisdom flow.

Djehuti is energy force throughout the year, Qrunmila is energy force throughout the year, Anansi is energy force throughout the year and so on. These are deified wisdom guides of the Afrikan history continuum that are all aspects of the Ultimate Divine. Indeed, Afrikan souls naturally determine their own experiences throughout the annual cycle.  Should Afrikan souls find themselves in an unnatural state of existence unable determine and express life in their own best interests then surely there is restorative work to do.  There is no level of Afrikan existence that wisdom cannot be energised and rightfully applied. Therefore, whatever the state of being empowered by wisdom rooted in the Afrikan history continuum, rightful missioning for elevation is inevitable.

It is surely an impossibility to celebrate Afrikan history and not at the same time be celebrating Afrikan wisdom. Thus, the Afrikan history season is a wonderful vehicle of Afrikan wisdom empowerment for its all-year-round application. Be wise with Afrikan history!

Afrikan Historia Msimu is an observance period for the duration of the tenth month of the year (so-called October). This is a special time for learning, growth and development of the Afrikan experience in the world. Great ones of the Afrikan journey are highlighted and the symbols relevant to the time invigorate life in the imperative onward flow of global Afrikan ascendancy. This wonderful observance is a part of the cultural calendar of the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation (URAN).
