Remembering Omowale Malcolm X

The Creator Supreme has blessed the Afrikan to live sacred life in holistic oneness in centrality of the sacred universe. As such the spiritual and cultural observances of the Afrikan calendar cycle reflect that oneness. In this, observances are spirit energisers and enliveners for all-year-round living. These vital times of year do not confine spirit but rather nurture, groom and shape Afrikan souls to fully flourish with each observance highlighting its special focus. From observance to observance holistic living and oneness of spirit becomes ever more deeply manifest. The important observance of Omowale Malcolm X Kukumbuko of the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation energises spirit with its special focus on Heru, Ogun as manifest in Omowale through remembrance. The spirit of this great hero flows throughout the annual cycle, an example of which, is the wonderful observance of Malkia wa Uhuru.

Malkia wa Uhuru (Queens of Liberty) is a time of year honouring the great warrior queens of Afrikan liberty and nationhood. Amongst much else, this is a time of learning. This is learning way beyond simply exciting the intellect or learning confined to the realms of memory recall for mere trivia. This is learning to nurture the living knowingness that is embedded in Afrikan spiritual and cultural life. This is learning to imbibe the spirit of the great warrior queens of the Afrikan continuum to lift the Afrikan soul in mission of ascension. Omowale Malcolm X illustrates the importance of such wholesome education:

“In every country that you go to, usually the degree of progress can never be separated from the woman. If you’re in a country that’s progressive, the woman is progressive. If you’re in a country that reflects the consciousness toward the importance of education, it’s because the woman is aware of the importance of education. But in every backward country, you’ll find the women are backward. And in every country where education is not stressed, it’s because the women don’t have education. So, one of the things I became thoroughly convinced of in my recent travels is the importance of giving freedom to the woman, giving her education and giving her the incentive to get out there and put that same spirit and understanding in the children. And I frankly am proud of the contribution that our women have made in the [fight] for freedom. And I’m one person who’s for giving them all the leeway possible. Because they have made a greater contribution than many of us men”.

From the dire interruption of the Maafa, Afrikan womanhood of pride, dignity, integrity and mission for Afrikan ascendancy must be restored to the full. The dire ills of alien imposition must be purged for Afrikan womanhood to maximally flourish. In doing so righteous order can also then be restored in the world. Omowale succinctly states:

“You and I will never be respected until we get some respect for this [Afrikan] woman”.

“[Let] her straighten up and then straighten out that white man”.

Omowale Malcolm X urges Afrikan women to study:

“Once your work is finished don’t watch the television. Find something constructive to add to your mind. Have an hour for reading. And I don’t mean read comic books read something that will make you know what’s happening”.

The foreign enemy benefits from the disfunction he fuels amongst Afrikan souls. Omowale warns against the vice of malicious puppetered, anti-Afriikan, anti-nationhood, anti-liberty gossip mongering preoccupation that can destroy the fabric of wholesome relations and Afrikan development by:

“Talking some trash about sister so and so”.

Elaborating on the context of establishing and maintenance of progressive and harmonious queendom in respect of Afrikan male-female relationships of intimacy he states:

“Start talking to him about something that going to nourish his mind and nourish your mind”.

In learning of the great Afrikan warrior queens of liberty Afrikan souls fulfil an imperative responsibility to pick up the mantle, in the now and in time to come, of the victorious fight for the attainment and maintenance of Afrikan liberty and nationhood. In this:

“We need to be taught about people who fought”.

In the approach to Omowale Malcolm X Kukumbuko, learning can become a progressive and purposeful mission. Time taken to learn can go a long way. Learn of Afrikan progressive mission and live Afrikan progressive mission is the becoming of vital Afrikan acumen.
