Bendera ya Taifa

The symbols that the exceptionally gifted people of Afrika have utilised across the ages are many. Whether in representation of the Creator Supreme, a Great Ancestor or some other progressive aspect of spirit life’s unfolding – Afrikan symbols are a powerful asset. Special times of year carry their associated symbols and these can be wonderfully empowering tools of celebration communicating the essence of the time at the profound spiritual and cultural level. The Afrikan shrine is bountifully laden in dynamic symbol set, ceremony and ritual contain the power of the symbol and everything from garments, accessories, décor to carvings, sculptures and architectural design carry the deeply energising symbols that emanate from the superlative Afrikan genius flow. As with other Afrikan observances, Afrika Ukombozi Siku (Afrika Liberation Day) holds a number of important symbols in ritual, ceremony and otherwise. Amongst many other potent symbols this special time of year is expressive of the mighty Red, Black and Green Flag of the Nation. The Kiswahili phrase for Flag of the Nation is Bendera ya Taifa.

The catastrophic destruction of the Maafa of recent centuries into which the Afrikan soul has been hurled by foreign genocidal enemy forces has devastated Afrikan people and their divine way of life. The savage enemy brute demolished, wrecked, smashed Afrikan symbols in order to erase their use by Afrikan people. At the same time, the twisted criminal murdering, colonising, enslaving barbarian  pirate vagabond would pillage Afrikan symbols, project a grotesquely disfigured meaning and add it to his arsenal of destruction as though it were his own. Meanwhile, the Afrikan was brutally forced to submit to the horror represented by the skull and crossed bones – the substance of which lives on behind the hypocritical glossy mask of the flags of pirating foreigners hell bent on Afrikan destruction.

In criminal psychopathic fashion, the foreign enemy cronies responsible for the worst genocidal terror to disgrace to world began to rant and bleat falsehoods on the results of their diabolic destructive ways by bogusly claiming that that the Afrikan is somehow naturally deficient. The many brave and courageous Afrikan souls that fought their way free from the clutches chattel plantation, the enemy begins to contemptuously proselytise so-called Afrikan deficits claiming that the Afrikan does not even ‘have a flag of his own’. In reality of course, the foreign forces of anti-Afrikan agency attempted to hide their own truth from popularity that the divine Afrikans are the ones ‘to whom we owe our arts sciences and even the use of speech’ – and yet still unchangeably lie and seek to plunder unabated.

Magnificently, the supreme visionary Marcus Garvey lifted Afrikan souls from under the oppressive banners and symbols imposed by foreign enemy forces by establishing the illustrious tri-colour Red, Black and Green banner. So powerful is this Afrikan symbol that it represents the liberty and nationhood of Afrikan people wherever they are geographically stationed in the world and beyond the citizenship of any immediate locale.

This truly is the Flag of the Nation. A flag of and for the liberation of a whole and superlative people. A grand energiser, punctuator and emphasiser of the imperative spiritual-cultural mission to attain, maintain and safeguard Afrikan liberty and nationhood, this flag. A mighty representation of Afrikan oneness, Afrikan power, Afrikan self-governance, Afrikan pride, Afrikan dignity, Afrikan regality, Afrikan divinity – global Afrikan ascendancy, this flag. A flag of and for the glory of the Afrikan and more, this flag. This flag is the Bendara ya Taifa.
