 Remembering a Great Hero

That which is has its before. This is a mainstay truism throughout the vast continuum of Afrikan souls. From soul people themselves to the great self-determined establishments they create, there is a continual rooted thrust of development so each generation comes from - and can build upon - their before experience. Here, the term historical antecedent is a useful descriptor.

According a contemporary mainstream source, the following detail is relevant:

“Historical antecedent means the fore runner. What was the thing that existed before the thing. The historical antecedent of an electric light was a gaslight. The historical antecedent of a gaslight was a candle”.

Another mainstream source offers the following additional detail:

“Historical antecedents provide context for current events and social dynamics. By studying the past, we can better understand how historical events shape present circumstances and societal trends”.

To bring focus specifically to the Afrikan experience at the level of their natural core being of shared oneness, the sourced details can be brought together and adapted. In so doing, the result may look something like the following:

“Afrikan historical antecedent relates to the self-determined forerunner of self-determined   Afrikan phenomena in the now. Afrikan historical antecedents meaningful provide context to Afrikan souls for their current state of being in whatever sphere of their lives is the subject of focus. By studying their past, Afrikan souls can better understand how their historical experience shape present circumstances and can chart an informed path for their ever-ascending future as a whole people whether located here, there or elsewhere”.

Despite any destructive efforts imposed by others that mean the Afrikan ill to derail Afrikan souls of knowingness of their historical antecedents with vices such as miseducation and other forms of anti-Afrikan propaganda, the onus rests firmly on Afrikan souls to secure their historical knowledge.

The great hero Omowale Malcolm X highlights the importance of historical antecedency with his profound depth of wisdom when he states that Afrikan experience:

“contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance next time”.

In the essential thrust for Afrikan fullest flourishing and security here, there and elsewhere there is ‘performance’ at every level of Afrikan life and in every sphere of Afrikan life that can be powerfully informed by what has been. If during the last generation, Afrikan souls laid upon a foundation in upright order, then the next generation can surely do likewise to further construction. It would be an absolute travesty if each generation does not even know of their people’s previous experience nor of anything of the progressive building that took place. In this, appropriate levels of self-determined learning and development is key. After all, civilisation is not of happenstance.
