Remembering a Great Hero

So naturally interconnected in harmonious oneness with themselves in wholeness are Afrikan people that the descriptor of being soul people can become ready expression in highlighting their qualities of uniqueness and their richly endowed continuum. The word soul can be used in a number of ways yet somehow – in terms of peoplehood – its deeply profound association and meaning in relation to the Afrikan is undeniable.
A contemporary mainstream source offers the following detail in relation to the soul of an individual when it states that this phenomenon is:
“the soul as one's essence”.
Another mainstream source, elaborates with some additional commentary as follows:
“Your soul is an internal and external part of you that transcends your physical existence. Building a relationship with your soul can be achieved through meditation, journaling, simply talking to yourself during quiet moments, and many other ways”.
For the Afrikan, even at the person level, the concept of the soul is a sophisticated affair where nine parts of its being apply. However, for the purposes of this discussion the focus is raised to embrace Afrikan souls at a general level in oneness of peoplehood with a scope to include all Afrikan people regardless of geographical locale. With this in mind, it is deemed appropriate to adapt the sourced details accordingly. In so doing, something that looks like the following may result:
“The soul of the Afrikan refers to the essence of Afrikan people at their natural core and shared level of being here, there and elsewhere. Their soul is an internal and external part of their being that transcends their physical existence. In securing harmonious oneness with their soul a vast range of activities may be employed on a self-determined and upright basis from quiet contemplations to rhythmic dance and music; from the expression of cultural symbols to grand ceremonial engagement and so on. Whatever the case, the Afrikan soul naturally continues to ascend in service of Afrikan people’s fullest flourishing and security”.
Despite the efforts of others that mean the Afrikan ill to disrupt Afrikan wholeness with their soul of self – even with attempts to grotesquely re-channel Afrikan soul to serve ill-intent – it is Afrikan souls who surely must cultivate, preserve and secure their soul beingness.
The great hero Omowale Malcolm X eloquently highlights the imperative thrust for Afrikan souls here, there and elsewhere in connection with the soul when he states:
“the same desire for freedom that moved the Black man on the Afrikan continent began to burn in the heart and the mind and the soul of the Black man here”.
Whatever spark of realisation, whatever conditions are afoot, it Afrikan souls themselves that can bring forth their ‘soul power’ to elevate themselves into optimality. After all, civilisation is not of happenstance.
