For
Afrikan souls to be firstly concerned with themselves as a people is nothing
new. It this primary people being firstly concerned with their well-being, continual
development, optimal flourishing, security and fullest ascension that gave rise
to pinnacle civilisation. Unfortunately, in a state of interruption and
disruption - where Afrikan souls may be set upon by others that mean the Afrikan
ill intensely destructive ways - the natural importance Afrikan people hold of
themselves may become grotesquely skewed. In this, negative vices pushed and
peddled by others of ill may cause Afrikan souls to be thrust into an existence
steeped in unknowingness of who and what they are and succumbing to a posture
of being acutely less-than their natural norm of holding themselves as central.
According to a contemporary mainstream source, people-centred development is described in the following way:
“People-centred development is an approach that focuses on improving local communities’ self-reliance, social justice, and participatory decision-making”.
In the context of this discussion, it is considered apt to make adjustments to the sourced description in order to reflect specific focus on the Afrikan experience. In so doing to the following may be the resultant articulation:
“Afrikan-centred development is an approach that focuses on improving Afrikan community self-reliance, the restoration of rightful and just order amongst Afrikan souls, and participatory decision-making that facilitates Afrikan ascension based upon self-knowingness and the centrality of Afrikan life”.
Here, development has its progressive outcomes from within the remit of Afrikan souls themselves. Certainly, there are no instantaneous miracles that fantasy wands can yield for desired results. At the same time, the need for recovery can be urgent in dire circumstance. It is through upright and self-determined effort that Afrikan souls can restore self-knowledge, cultured living and natural orientation of centredness.
From whatever station, level or status, each Afrikans can surely make a step of Afrikan-centred development. Indeed, the establishment and use of special places to empower the Afrikan in this regard – in whatever locale soul people are – can be a great boon. After all, civilisation is not of happenstance.
