Celebrating Focal Places of Empowerment

One way to look at aspects of holistic development in the Afrikan context in this primary people’s norm of optimal self-determined flourishing is as a comprehensive endeavour. Here, development can encompass the panorama of areas Afrikans deem foundational and necessary for their continual ascension. Indeed, it is the sort of development that allowed this people to establish the greatest and most enduring civilisations ever to exist.

According to a mainstream source, the term comprehensive development is defined thus:

“Comprehensive development means that a community’s potential lies in the identification and creation of a shared vision, planned by local leadership, and carried out by an array of partners”.

In order to relate the sourced definition specifically to the Afrikan experience, some alterations are considered apt. Such treatment may look like the following:

“Comprehensive Afrikan development means that the Afrikan community’s potential lies in the identification and creation of a shared vision of its ascension, planned by its authentic and self-determined leadership, and carried out by its members throughout the various levels of the Afrikan self”.

Unfortunately, in a state of interruption and disruption, Afrikan souls may be derailed from basic comprehension of themselves – let alone engaging in necessary self-determined comprehensive endeavours. Imposed upon by the destructive vices of others that mean the Afrikan ill, miseducation can become a comprehensive malae pushed, peddled and backed by an intent of perpetuating doom amongst Afrikan folk.

Despite imposed disruption, Afrikan souls surely have a duty and responsibility to themselves to restore themselves to optimality in a holistic way. Afrikan comprehensive development may have a range of key areas of focus, yet it remains centred on the Afrikan self and its necessary security, ascension and thriving throughout its various levels.

If this primary people are to realise their maximal potential and capability for their own betterment – and surely they must – then a developmental step forward from whatever station, level or status a soul may hold can be a great contributory boon. It matters not whether the Afrikan is here, there or elsewhere progressive constructive effort can be made in this regard. After all, civilisation is not of happenstance.
