The Magnificent Natural Spiritual Soundscape of Afrikan Life

The deep richness of the Afrikan soul is extraordinarily special with its abundance of the all-pervasive power of the universe. Unparalleled since its becoming at the very dawn of Creation, the Afrikan soul has a most beautiful primacy in its emergence as the first of humanity. The Afrikan thus holds intimacy with the Creator supreme unlike any other as spirit and as the first of humanity, an intimacy that is void of any emergence by proxy. This original, mighty and exceptional inheritance gives rise to a spirit flow of the most powerful magnitude. Out of this source comes the most powerful, dynamic genius-filled creative expressions that have ever graced the face of the earth.
One such genius-filled expression from this powerful spirit-flow is that of music. From the most ancient of times music has formed an essential part of life’s unfolding for the powerful spirit people. Whether through the voice, sacred instrumentation such as the all powerful drums of royalty and priesthoood, the plethora of dynamic aerophones or the various stringed instruments that are righteously entwined in the divine wisdom genius of roles such as that of the griot - this vibrant expression abounds. In ceremony, learning, work, just warfare, healing, sorrow or joy - whatever the endeavour music is a magnificent natural spiritual soundscape of Afrikan life.
The rhythms of the ethereal and of the universe have long provided both the animating force and the energies for inspiration to allow for the vast array and tapestry of musical expression that emanate from the Afrikan’s essence into vibrational being. It is therefore bereft of doubt to state that Afrikan music is spirit music. For the Afrikan then, wholesome music is more than simply entertainment or a supplement, it is indeed a firm and vibrant part of the main substance of spirit life.
With the coming of the historically recent and current phase of interruption of the Maafa (Great Suffering), the genius musical expressions of Afrikan people have been subject to skewing and suppression. In the most immediate contemporary period efforts to exploit and control that powerful spirit-flow on the part of anti-Afrikan forces has manifest in a grotesque arrangement of sounds and imagery whereby destructive (even) genocidal behaviours are being promoted, reinforced and rewarded.
The empowering spirit source of Afrikan musical expression that continually lifts towards the pinnacle upright heights must again become the mainstay in order that a whole people can return to their naturally ascribed and proper place of royal primacy.
This goes beyond the musical sphere as many great ones have courageously articulated that whatever the Afrikan’s ‘art’ it ought to be deployed in the service of the magnificent first ones of Creation – themselves! Certainly, with the independence of creative genius flow Afrikan people can energise and motivate their imperative and incessant climb into eternal ascendancy.
As in the great expanse of historical unfolding of greatest of civilisations prior to the short and temporary phase of the Maafa, Afrikans can again bring to the fore their magnificent natural spiritual soundscape. For it is with music of ascendancy that the Afrikan can continue to rise in liberty, the converse of this surely must succumb.
Music has formed the progressive energy and spirit cultivator in the most challenging of circumstances. Songs and rhythms that are fabric of ritualised victories in the heroic continuum of the Afrikan mission to freedom has always been key. Across the Afrikan world, continent to diaspora, regardless of time period, may the Creator supreme and the Great Ancestors continue to bless the songs that lift Afrikan souls, clear away the imposed veil of confusion and otherwise bring about the imperative of Afrikan victory.
This author has known the power and spiritual potency of music since early childhood and has been able to explicitly articulate this spirit form as such in hindsight with the unfolding of more senior years. Let the present and future generations be exposed to reality of themselves and the reality of hostile world (which must be turned toward rightness) in a consistent, integrity-filled and progressive way. Afrikan music is of great value in this. The author can attest to this immense worth as a spiritual cultural practitioner (click here), throughout life’s experience and in direct musical creativity. Through the creation and organising of a number of projects this expression has resulted in a number of recorded pieces (inclusive of the following). Other music is forthcoming which will feature in the forthcoming documentary film production From the Ill of Urban to the Glory of URAN.

URAN as detailed above is an acronym for the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation (click here) which as a progressive spiritual and cultural organ for Afrikan liberty and nationhood. URAN certainly in its mission makes use of the musical expression of spirit as a part of its work such as the use of anthems and other songs and music that express the essence of cultural observances and other times.

If generations yet to come are to truly know themselves then the musical expression of spirit must then surely blossom in the most progressive and brilliant ways. The Afrikan will then unleash the soul power from that unique ethereal throne of grand creative genius that is fundamental to this mighty people - the magnificent natural spiritual soundscape of Afrikan life.
