The Afrikan Shrine - A Crucial and Beatifully Elevating Norm of Life

Creation has yielded its first and most spectacular people – the mighty Afrikan. This unique intimacy with the Creative force of the universe has secured the natural divinity of this magnificent people. It is from this wonderful origination and substance of being that the Afrikan has expressed the creative genius flow that has given rise to the most beautiful, awesome and long lasting civilisations to have ever graced the annals of history. From the sacredness of self the Afrikan evidently has a profound acumen in identifying or in the creation and maintenance of sacred space. Such space exists in beholding of the Creator; in the realm of the Great Ancestors; in the spirit flow of self and throughout the universe. These areas are manifest or represented in the natural genius flow of Afrikan life whether in spirit or in physical form.
Natural environments are energised with natural spirit flow. Trees, the water flow in rivers, lakes or sea, mountains and a huge variety of other places have been utilised by the Afrikan for spiritual energy and enhancement.
Temples, palaces and homes (and in the holistic Afrikan worldview these may not be distinct) were built in honour of the Creator, the Great Ancestors and as an extension of the divine self. Design and construction harnessed materials for spiritual ascendancy. Stone as an age-old material is in Afrikan tradition sacred substance and whether used for the building of a homestead or grand monument renders the construct of the divine order.
Of course, with the brutal imposition of the Maafa (great suffering) there has been much disruption. Here, Afrikans are tortured in the vicious attempt to enforce spiritual and cultural abandonment whilst (at the same time) exploited to build for the benefit of others. Despite this futile and perverse attempt to perpetually reduce the Afrikan to the status of an ‘object’ the unconquerable Afrikan spirit continues to hold the capacity to make manifest his or her divine self.
The sacred Afrikan carries the primordial divine essence and thus can make that manifest in whichever space he or she desires. One of the most obvious places is the home and though for many Afrikan people physical construction of the building in the way of their ancient ancestors may not be an immediate reality; it is certainly possible to have sacred space there. One may consider the home as a whole as a sacred place, though to explicitly have an Afrikan shrine located within the home to provide a focal point of spiritual ascendency is certainly a magnificent form of empowerment. In fact, to have a functional shrine in residence within every Afrikan home would elevate a whole people in victorious advancement beyond the invasion of the home with the barrage of foreign consumer devices that are deployed to benefit others.
Constructing a shrine that reflects the oneness with the Creator and universe, that can be an energiser of the might of the Great Ancestors and (amongst other things) express the potency of a powerful spirit people who are mission compelled to lift themselves to pinnacle elevation is a fantastic creative process of organic development.
Outside of the home, the Afrikan on a path of spiritual and cultural reclamation is bound to find a number of places in his or her immediate locale or beyond that can serve a spiritual communal shrine function. Thus as the Afrikan ventures from his or her shrine empowered home and convenes with other Afrikans emerging from the same context at a communal shrine, the spiritual growth and development becomes exponentially great with true grand civilisation surely then only a cursory journey away.
Herein lies the challenge for the Afrikan soul in the now - to recognise the true divine self with all of the exceptional spirit potentiality that is inherent and develop to again expose that brilliant reality and return to the rightful and pinnacle Afrikan royal status in the world.
