This is a reiteration of an article first published on September 10th 2021

Afrikan deities are aspects of the Creator Supreme personified in spiritual conception to energise Afrikans souls to express the best of themselves in whatever relevant area of focus is within the remit of whichever particular deity. Afrikan deities are of and for Afrikan souls and are reflective of the pinnacle excellence in Afrikan being at the level of divinity. The Afrikan deities are powerful beacons for Afrikan souls to bring about the best of themselves. Throughout the ages the worlds greatest and most long lived civilizations been realised through the hands of Afrikan people empowered by their own spiritual way of life.

Take for example the wonderful deities of Yemanja and Olokun who represent the vital, powerful and pervasive substance of water. These Afrikan deities represent standards of living in Afrikan life where royal divine Afrikan masculine manhood by way of Olokun is given energy and royal divine Afrikan feminine womanhood by way of  Yemanja is given energy.  Yemanja’s realm is towards the ocean surface, whilst Olokun is immediately responsible for the ocean’s deepest depths. Olokun has authority overall in the water world and Yemanja is guided in her remit accordingly. In this, there is oneness of water – a functional whole of life giving and life sustaining energy that certainly holds divine integrity and empowers Afrikan life to the full.

Unfortunately, in recent centuries with the interruptions and disruptions of the Maafa of recent centuries grotesquely skewed images and details of Afrikan deities have been concocted and peddled to misrepresent their meaning and upright relevance in the empowerment of Afrikan life. Race denial and oversexualisation have been amongst the areas of disfigurement.

However, sometimes other areas of misrepresentation may not be readily checked. For example, the denial of femininity and masculisation of female deities. Or, the denial of masculinity and the effeminisation of male deities. Indeed, there may even be the tendency to completely deny male deity existence completely in some instances and inaccurately position female deities to levels of prominence that they do not naturally hold. Such doings of course can wreak havoc and disorder and be ruinous to the natural progressive integrity of Afrikan life.

Whatever alien forces are at play, Afrikan souls must take the responsibility to restore their deities in proper image and functioning as the empowerment of pinnacle elevation and order in Afrikan life. For the physical is expression of the spiritual. To hold divine integrity of the Afrikan deities is to empower the integrity that physical Afrikan life ought surely to hold.
