Celebration of First Fruits

The mighty and divine Afrikan father spirit gifted by the Creator Supreme that brings forth magnificence in nationhood is manifest in Ausar. It is manifest in Obatala. It is manifest in Marcus Garvey. Ausar, Obatala and Marcus Garvey are one. The divine spirit through Marcus Garvey gave the Afrikan world the Bendera Ya Taifa (Flag of the Nation), a powerful symbol of global Afrikan ascension. This mighty flag and it’s tri-colouration of Red, Black and Green are essential features of the wonderful Kwanzaa observance. During Kwanzaa the Bendara ya Taifa is elevated as a part of the celebration’s powerful symbol set. The Mishumaa Saba (Seven Candles) also give illumination to the colours of Red, Black and Green. The colours marvellously represent living Afrikan-ness in a beautifully profound way.  Red: Afrikan sacred blood, its preservation and the challenges that the Afrikan must face for ascension. Black: The might of the Afrikan self in all of its melanated glory. Green: The essential of sacred Afrikan lands and the bountifulness they imperatively yield for Afrikan souls then, now and the eternal tomorrows to come. These colours embed the essence of Garveyism in the fabric of the Kwanzaa celebration and indeed throughout Afrikan life. The core principles of Garveyism are: Race First, Self-Reliance and Nationhood. The mighty Garvey Banner raised aloft reaffirms oneness of mission: One Creator, One Aim and One Destiny! And as the wind gives it motion to its grand splendour the Bendera ya Taifa energises the imperative of Afrika for the Afrikans – those at home and those abroad!

The despicable criminal tyrants of anti-Afrikan agency throughout the Maafa of recent centuries have sought to destroy, suppress or diminish Afrikan symbols of empowerment. Through miseducation, indoctrination, brutalisation or outright slaughter the savage alien enemy is hell bent on removal of all facets of divine self-determined Afrikan empowerment. Such is the superlative  powerfulness of the Afrikan spiritual and cultural way raising the Afrikan to fullest ascension that the desperate fear-ridden alien pirate vagabonds of the world invest vast resources (from that which they’ve stolen) and energies in the futile and bogus attempt to obstruct, subdue or destroy  inevitable Afrikan victory. In the failure to destroy powerful symbols such as the Bendera ya Taifa, the sinister foreign barbarian attempts to co-opt it, alter its meaning to Afrikan souls and popularise it to serve alien interest even in the false guise of helping the Afrikan.

Magnificently, Afrikan souls of the world remain steadfast and resolute in the living expression and assertion of their own way. Kwanzaa with its divine gift of inheritance from the divine fatherhood of Afrikan liberty, nationhood and world ascension continues to raise aloft the Bendera ya Taifa. Its progressive colouration of mission-compelling Afrikan uplift continues to empower Afrikan souls wherever they happen to be geographically located in oneness of spiritual and cultural living into grand victory and pinnacle elevation.

During Kwanzaa and throughout the year the spirit of divine Afrikan fatherhood lives. The spirit of Ausar lives, the spirit of Obatala lives and the spirit of Marcus Garvey lives. The Bendera ya Taifa comes from the spirit of divine fatherhood to energise, lift and safeguard the Afrikan nation in worldwide oneness.
