Celebrating the Great Marcus Garvey and His Movement

What if Afrikan souls were to ensure that a certain form of learning was imperative to their lives? What would such learning look like? If the richly endowed Afrikan history continuum is anything to go by, then it would surely consist of the core essentials that allow for the greatest and most enduring civilisations to be realised. After all, it is superlative civilisation that has been the pioneering thrust of Afrikan life since the earliest of times. So then, Afrikan people exercising self-determined learning at a core level here, there and elsewhere naturally and rightfully represents agency of learning in service of Afrikan people’s fullest flourishing and security.
A mainstream source offers the following description with a focus on the learner:
“Learner agency, also known as student agency, refers to the degree to which learners feel they have control and ownership over their learning experiences. It's about students having a voice, choice, and taking initiative in their learning process, rather than passively receiving information. Essentially, it's the capacity of a learner to make decisions and influence their learning trajectory”.
In the contemporary world where mainstream institutions can attract engagement to acquire qualifications necessary for particular roles, careers and so on, core learning necessary for Afrikan optimality naturally is of self-determined substance. The great hero Marcus Garvey eloquently articulates the following guidance of wisdom:
“The world’s greatest men and women were people who educated themselves were people who educated themselves outside the university with all the knowledge that the university gives, [and] you have the opportunity of doing the same thing the university does – read and study”.
Unfortunately, others that mean the Afrikan ill may take it upon themselves to derail or nullify Afrikan learning agency. Indeed, others bent on rendering the Afrikan underfoot or worse, may push and peddle miseducation and other forms of anti-Afrikan propaganda to satisfy their ill-whims.
Certainly, Afrikan souls ought to bring forth their upright learner agency with appropriate levels of learning determined by themselves in service of Afrikan betterment. At the same time, Afrikan souls can do themselves a great service in avoiding and safeguarding against becoming agents of self-destruction by proxy. Gossip-mongering, the spreading of falsehoods and other wilfully destructive acts intended to bring harm to souls encouraging or facilitating the rightful thrust of Afrikan learning agency is despicable at best. Petty jealousies, negative egos and other characteristics and motivations of disorder acted out merely invites all-consuming doom that does not differentiate between the misguided perpetrator or the perpetrators intended target.
An agent of self-destruction or a restorer and engager of upright learning agency? A decision here, is surely nothing short of obvious to the soul holding some semblance of self-knowingness. Civilisation is to be built and naturally requires appropriate levels of learning for it is not a phenomenon of happenstance.
