Remembering Omowale Malcolm X

The first people of creation in their unique and intimate connection with the Creator Supreme are naturally endowed with an abundance of spirit force. As such, the life of the Afrikan has a spiritual and cultural basis. Even in the context of hostile alien imposition the Afrikan spiritual base never ceases to be. Though, there are examples where it may be masked or cloaked in various guises due to circumstance or condition, Afrikan spiritual essence is eternal. The great hero Omowale Malcolm X walked in living knowingness of the Afrikans’ cultural power and why its restoration is vital in the imperative of organising for Afrikan ascendancy:
“It is important to know that our history did not begin with slavery’s scars. We come from Afrika, a great continent and a proud and varied people, a land which is the new world and was the cradle of civilisation. Our culture and our history are as old as man himself and yet we know nothing of it. We must recapture our heritage and our identity if we are ever to liberate ourselves from the bonds of white [inadequacy]. We must launch a cultural revolution to un-brainwash an entire people.
Our cultural revolution must be the means of bringing us closer to our Afrikan brothers and sisters.”
Indeed, as Afrikan souls of the world become ever-increasingly at one with their own spiritual and cultural way of life, the masks, cloaks or guises that can render the Afrikan spiritual form subdued (at best) can be cast off and the Afrikan way can thus be maximally revealed for fully flourishing Afrikan nationhood throughout the world. Of course, culture and civilisation are words that are synonymous. This is important to note as the word civilisation seems to evoke the spirit of functionally responsible duty as well as highlighting stark realities of disrupted circumstance for Afrikan people. The question of ‘what is your culture?’ or ‘what is your civilisation?’ are questions of imperative responsibility. Omowale Malcolm X articulated this:
“if you want to take the time to do research for yourself. I think you’ll find that on the Afrikan continent there was always, prior to the discovery of America, there was always a higher level of history, rather a higher level of culture and civilisation”
