Celebrating the Great Marcus Garvey and the Garvey Movement

The supreme visionary Marcus Garvey is a spirit that carries exceptional skills and talent in a multitude of areas. This was not a static stockpiling of skill for its own sake. Nor was it skill or talent hemoarraged to exclusively provide pleasure and profit to others that mean the Afrikan ill. On the contrary, Garvey cultivated his genius flow over the course of his physical lifespan for the benefit of his own people.  Even foreign articulations reveal this:

“It is no mystery why the UNIA leader put such emphasis on producing an interesting and unique propaganda organ. Garvey had learned the printing trade as a young teen in his native Jamaica and had cut his teeth as an organiser of the printers union there. After starting several short-lived publications, he came to the United States knowing the profound potential of the printed word”.

Exceptional acumen in the written word, oratory, theology, governance, economy, culture, organisation design build and growth are amongst the areas of excellence that the great Marcus Garvey brought to the fore in service of the world Afrikan community. Yet, Garvey simply claimed, cultivated and expressed to the full the natural genius flow that is natural inheritance of Afrikan souls and firmly dedicated himself to his purpose. In so doing Garvey lifted (and continues lift in spirit) multitudes of Afrikan souls to the fullest realisation of themselves.

Whatever level, area of operation, functioning, skill, talent that natural Afrikan genius has brought to fruition in the self, let the shining brilliancy lift in some way (as best as it is possible to do) those of the race. Alien ill systems of inadequacy (not supremacy) continue to reveal their anti-Afrikan contempt. The onus of responsibility for self-betterment, as it always has been, is on Afrikan souls shape reality for themselves through their own self-determined effort. Whatever, skill is compellingly deployed to eek out a livelihood in the ‘mainstream’ arena, surely there is some reserve and duty to service the interests of the nation self (even if at the very least indirectly).

Marcus Garvey shared must mission-compelling wisdom and inspiration:

“In your homes and everywhere possible you must teach the higher development of science to your children and be sure to create a race of scientists par excellence”.

“Never forget your [Creator}!”
