Advance to Victory

The beauty and elegance of prose has been a wisdom-filled, inspirational,  informative and  instructive  since the originators of creative word expression came to articulate themselves. The Afrikan spirit is a powerhouse of creative genius flow and as such have creatively uttered the words that bring forth the greatest of achievement with spirit ascendancy.

The creative word is as important in the contemporary and temporary period of enemy disruption (the Maafa). From the creative genius flow of Garvey Movement in the upper part of the so-called 20th century came the Universal Ethiopian Anthem with its mission compelling thrust of elevation for the whole race. Within the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation (URAN) an adaptation of the original Anthem is a part of the pantheon of creative expressions that are key features throughout the cultural observance cycle. Anthems are important to URAN life and the Universal Royal Afrikan Anthem (as it is referred to here in this time) is an empowering inheritance from the Garvey Movement. As the observance of Musa Msimu with its Garvey Day and other celebration times unfold in honour of the supreme visionary Marcus Garvey and the Garvey Movement this powerful anthem is key. If the Afrikan spirit can generate words that give rise to pinnacle greatness in the past, then that same spirit must surely generate creative utterance that can give rise to maximum elevation out of the enemy imposed degradation that is inflicted upon Afrikan souls around the world.

Universal Royal Afrikan Anthem

Afruika, thou land of our fathers,

Thou land where the Gods loved to be,

As storm cloud at night suddenly gathers

Our armies come rushing to thee.

We must in the fight be victorious

When swords are thrust outward to glean

For us will the vict’ry be glorious

When led by the Red, the Black and the Green.

CHORUS

Advance, advance to victory,

Let Afrika be free;

Advance to meet the foe

With the might

Of the Red, the Black and the Green.

Afruika, the tyrant’s falling,

Who smote thee upon thy knees,

And thy children are lustily calling

From over the distant seas.

Our Creator, the Great One, has heard us,

Has noted our sighs and our tears,

With the spirit of love God has stirred us

To be one through the coming years.

O, Creator, thou God of the ages

Grant unto our children that lead

The wisdom thou gave to thy sages

When Kemet was sore in need.

Thy voice thro’ the dim past has spoken,

Afruika shall stretch forth her hand,

By Thee shall all fetters be broken,

And Heav’n bless our dear Motherland.

The Afrikan creative words ring out for liberty and nationhood in this time and time to come. Let the creative word expressions yield victory for the Afrikan soul.
