Celebrating the Empowerment of Self-Economy

The pioneering people of culture
and civilisation brought into being vital and rooted means by which each of
their souls could develop to realise fullest possible upright potential. Their
system of rite of passage was a vehicle that allowed the soul to be guided into
rightful maturation of adulthood and on into wisdom-filled eldership and
beyond. Naturally, with each milestone of the life-cycle journey responsibility
and duty commensurate with the ordered life progress made could then be
realised. Of course, this flourished within the realms of (and in service to) this
people’s natural normality of pinnacle civilisation. One of the vital parts of their
civilisation was their thriving self-economy. As such, the rite of passage
development necessarily included guided growth for this important level of functioning.
Here, Afrikan souls could advance their skills and know-how for a blossoming self-determined
economy and preserve its yield in service of their grand civilisation.
Unfortunately, the disruptions of the Maafa of recent centuries have destructively set upon upright norms of self-determined passage for progression in Afrikan life. Subject to the hands of others that mean the Afrikan ill rite of passage has in many ways become grotesquely transformed into a bite of regression. The soul people’s norm of economic flourishing has not escaped dire imposition. Here, derailed from their vital self-economy and acutely ill-positioned as commodities in the ‘economies’ of others, multitudes of this primary people of creation have had their lives skewed to become exclusively operable as consumers only (at best). In such a state the value-less trinkets that are pushed and peddled by others can become the empty symbols of a pseudo-advancement, pseudo-status or some other perceived ‘quality’. As Afrikan souls neglect or abandon their own norm of self-economy flourishing, others can rub their hands with glee at the prospect of uncultured acquisition that boosts the unbridled exploits of those same others.
It is only Afrikan souls themselves that can transform themselves to relinquish the bite of regression and recover their wholesome system of rite for thriving self-economy and other vital areas of life functioning. Value-less trinkets or other vices popularly pushed or peddled must surely be treated according to their actual worthlessness and not become all-consuming distractions of detriment for this soul people of creation.
Naturally, this people of rooted substance determine ascension for themselves in the best ways possible. It is through the restoration of their self-knowingness and cultured living that upright order of their self-betterment can be fully realised. At the same time, securing against contaminant ills and self-destructive wrongdoings is key. For, the bite of regression can never be a substitute for upright rite of passage.
The highly civilised norm of this spirit people cannot be brought into fruition by happenstance. It is through their self-determined effort of rightful order that self-economy and the grand civilisation that it services is brought into fruition. Therefore, from whatever station, level or status an Afrikan holds a progressive upright step (however large or small) can be a contributory boon to the imperative ascension of this pioneering people.

Ujamaa Kiburi Siku as with the other observances on the Afrikan cultural calendar is just that – an observance.
