Celebrating the Great Marcus Garvey and the Garvey Movement

The supreme
visionary Marcus Garvey in his vast and rich array of wisdom words shared
guiding words of caution in relation to the necessary relinquishing of damaging
relations. He said:
“Never be seen with a person of bad character. You will be roped in and even though your character is good, it will also suffer because of your association with that person”.
Garvey insightfully highlights ‘bad character’ and this may be readily identifiable with the expressions of disorder, chaos and disruption that a person totally coerced outside of his or her natural self can cause in opposition to genuine effort for harmonious and complementary living.
There may also be instances where souls may not necessarily be of ‘bad character’ but are a party of ‘unworkableness’ in relation to other particular souls. This is why formal arrangements such as business partnerships and even marriages are necessarily dissolved.
In such circumstance, it becomes necessary for Afrikan souls to distance themselves from souls whom they themselves have the informed knowingness that involvement with is ‘unworkable’. This is surely true of former informal as well as former formal arrangements.
Further, It can be of damaging consequence that souls looking from the outside seek to force unworkable relations in holding on to an image or ideal that no longer exists for (either one of) or all parties concerned. Outside souls, though misinformed or even misguided, can mis-think of themselves as well-meaning but surely ought not to meddle in the arena of the genuine unworkableness. On the hand, there are those that push for ‘a rejoining’ for selfish reasons for it may result in renewed building with new people that perhaps the ‘pusher’ seeks to have relationships with for themselves. In this, they can validate the selfish ‘pushing’ under an insincere guise of seeming plausibility of ‘putting persons back together’ whilst at the same time thwarting progress for building effort anew that they actually interpret as ‘competition’ they want removed.
With this and other under-hand motivations, bogus attempts to deny opportunities for new growth and development can become a mainstay operation for such souls consumed with the alien-ill of progress-thwarting action and ill-behaviors directed towards the intended target. Indeed, it is possible that susceptible former business partners, friends, associates, spouses and so on, may be roped into such destructive effort with emotional play.
The sum total is amplified or elongated wastage that is surely a great boon for the alien forces of anti-Afrikan agency.
For the willfully incessant wrongdoer, Garvey offered one strategy in the following example:
“To waste time to correct a thief is to hold up the program of the organization. Get him out of the way and march along”.
The great hero Marcus Garvey through his vast array of powerful words continues to energise Afrikan life for maximal elevation:
“The mind and soul are the recepticles of understanding and wisdom. Cleanse them with protection and approach the source who giveth them, and you shall be eternally blessed”.
