Celebrating the Great Marcus Garvey and the Garvey Movement

The supreme visionary Marcus Garvey encouraged Afrikan souls to elevate the honour in themselves. Amongst the multitude of wisdom words he articulated in this regard the following selection comes from the words offered to potential responsibility holding officers of the Garvey Movement:

“Don’t encourage [Afrikans] to join Japanese, Chinese, Indian or any other movements with the hope of getting greater freedom. They will never get it, because all peoples want all things for themselves.

Explain this thoroughly and sufficiently so as to discourage ignorant [Afrikans] from thinking otherwise. You should teach [Afrikans] to have pride in their own nationality and teach them not to try to wear garments that typify membership in other nationalities. It is ridiculous and people laugh at them for doing so. Teach [Afrikans] to look for honour in their own race and from their own nation and to serve their own race and nation to get such honours.

Any honours they can get from any other race for serving that race they can get from their own for serving their race. Therefore, don’t waste time in that. You can have your own king, emperor…your own everything. Therefore, don’t bow down to other races for recognition.

When you have honoured you own men and women, recognize that honour before the whole world to let the world know that you honoured your own. If the world laughs at those you have honoured, ask them if they want you to laugh at those they honoured. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. If they laugh, laugh at them”.

Unfortunately, there are also a plethora of dishonorable roles that have been have been pushed, peddled and otherwise encouraged amongst Afrikan souls by others that mean the Afrikan ill. One example of many is the willfully destructive spy working in thrust of alien forces. This is wholly dishonorable. Misguided and misused souls in such a role can maneuver themselves into the sphere of their aim in the guise of offering genuine service. It is possible that such persons can pose as a member of a particular organ whilst poised-at-the ready for any soundbite (or whatever) that can be usefully exploited as it is then reported back to their alien handlers for disuse.

It is of course possible to identify such ill efforts within the context of an organ. For example, upon hearing something uttered that may be considered ‘harsh’, the genuine and committed soul working for integrity filled elevation within an organ will naturally first take it up with the person from whom it was uttered at an appropriate time and place with intent to glean clarity. On the other hand, the willfully destructive spy will immediately engage the reporting mode of operation in order to relay whatever soundbite recalled to alien forces. Whatever was labelled as ‘harsh’ that may have held genuine requirement becomes a part of alien missioning to thwart or ‘take down’ the intended target. These spy handlers then ‘rub their hands with glee’.

During the physical lifespan of the great Marcus Garvey there are many lessons to be gleaned and the importance of honour of the self throughout its various levels is surely a highly significant one.
