Divinity in the Contemporary World

The spiritual formulation of ASBWOK (Afrikan Spirituality By Way of Kwanzaa) both harmonises with the cultural fabric of Kwanzaa and the Nguzo Saba (Seven Principles) as well as with the various expressions of regional traditions of Afrika. It certainly does not negate the upright practices within any locale. Instead, it provides a framework on the spiritual plain that can be shared throughout the Afrikan world punctuating the rooted oneness that Afrikan souls hold. ASBWOK is therefore, is dynamic in its substance as it provides a spiritually unifying vehicle for existing practitioners of a local tradition whilst also providing a vehicle of spiritual engagement for those Afrikans that have no local tradition and wish to engage with Afrikan spirituality.
ASBWOK has a number of core themes that are commonalities within the natural norm Afrikan life.
Core themes within ASBWOK are:
1) Living knowingness of the Creator Supreme
2) Living knowingness of the Great Ancestors
3) Living knowingness of the self
4) Application of the shrine
5) Purposeful ingathering
Living Knowingness of the Great Ancestors
The age-old Afrikan dictum of ‘I am because we are, and since we are therefore I am’ is not only a basis of life for Afrikan souls present during a single physical lifespan. The ‘we’ for the Afrikan also necessarily includes those great ones of the ancestral realm who facilitated life into present expression and who dedicated themselves to the ascension and safeguarding of this primary people of the world. The ‘we’ also necessarily includes those Afrikan souls who are yet to come. Thus, the Afrikan ‘we’ reflects the continual flow of ascension throughout the Afrikan continuum – then, now and tomorrow. Indeed, the Afrikan in the present, with due diligence, responsibility and upright missioning for the betterment of Afrikan souls will surely enter the ancestral realm of greatness from which future generations can draw empowerment and guidance of wisdom. Members of every Afrikan generation can transition in the realm of great ancestor-ship through their sterling and victorious life-long efforts for Afrikan ascension. Here then, living knowingness of the great ancestors is reflected in the duty to remember and call-upon those within the realm. It also holds the determination of life in the present to be an example from which strength can be drawn by those present and yet to come. Further, it also involves instituted collective memory that can be then built upon and be passed on as improved inheritance from generation-to-generation. The knowledge of the Afrikan experience and greatness that has been and the self-determined, self-beneficial Afrikan experience and greatness being made ought never cease to be. The Afrikan self-determined and self-beneficial thrust of ascension is eternal.
With the interruptions and disruptions of the Maafa of recent centuries, alien forces of ill have sought to derail Afrikan souls from the knowingness of their continuum. Only the Afrikan can restore, express, recall and project their greatness in order for the self throughout its various levels to flourish. As such, the collective memory of great ancestors and their functioning must be preserved. Certainly, great ancestors are not there to be misrepresented and disgracefully peddled by alien forces of ill as allies to the foreign ills against which they fought. The Afrikan masuline man must be. The Afrikan feminine woman must be. The Afrikan harmonious and complementary male-female union must be. The Afrikan family must be. The Afrikan community must be. The Afrikan nation must be. The Afrikan world community must be. All with the collective memory of greatness then, the making of greatness now and the provision for the inheritance of greatness for those yet to come.
Kimungu Madhabahuni is a time of year to celebrate the Afrikan shrine at home and beyond. Kimungu Madhabahuni takes place during the holiday period associated with the spring equinox. At this time many people are away from the mundane of the various institutions albeit largely as a dictate of presently popular foreign religious doctrine. This therefore, can allow many more Afrikan people the time and space to restore, elevate and be themselves freely in reverence at their own special places.Throughout the annual cycle of the spiritual and cultural calendar of the Universal Royal Afrikan Nation observance to observance, Afrikan life is endowed with the essential of living knowingness.
